Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests through attentive service, menu knowledge, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to cash handling policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and presentation.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing payments.
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy shifts.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
