CDL Car hauler Position Available For Southern California - Texas Local Route and/or Regional (Southwest - Southeast etc)
- Lanes: West Coast & East Coast
- Equipment: 2020 Peterbilt + Cottrell 9-car trailer (with sleeper)
- Schedule: OTR: 2-3 weeks OTR with 1 week off.
- Compensation: Averages $2,000–$3,500/week (full time, based on loads/run mix) 25%-30% DOE / Performance
What you’ll do
- Load, secure, and transport cars/trucks on a 9-car Cottrell.
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and DVIRs.
- Strap/secure per best practices; re-check before weigh stations.
- Communicate ETAs/arrivals/departures and any delays.
- Capture condition photos and BOLs (we use Super Dispatch).
Must-haves
- CDL-A with manual transmission proficiency.
- 12+ months car-hauling experience (Cottrell experience preferred).
- Clean MVR and no at-fault accidents.
- Able to pass drug/alcohol screening.
- Solid securement, route planning, and customer etiquette.
- Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Super Dispatch and ELD workflows.
- Familiarity with SoCal shippers, auctions, and dealer lanes.
