Join Notes & Roast as a Mobile Event Barista, where your passion for specialty coffee and hospitality helps create memorable beverage experiences at events across Metro Atlanta. In this part-time, event-based 1099 role, you’ll focus on dialing in espresso, steaming milk, and crafting beautiful beverages at corporate events, weddings, brand activations, and private celebrations.
Duties
- Set up and break down the mobile espresso/beverage bar at various venues, ensuring all equipment is clean, functioning, and event-ready.
- Prepare and serve espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, matcha, cold brew, teas, and other specialty beverages to Notes & Roast quality standards.
- Steam milk with proper texture and temperature for consistent latte quality and basic latte art where possible.
- Maintain speed and efficiency during high-volume service while keeping drinks consistent and well-presented.
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and visually polished, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor ingredients and supplies (milk, syrups, cups, lids, garnishes) during events and communicate restock needs.
- Provide warm, professional hospitality, engaging guests with a friendly attitude and helping them choose drinks they’ll love.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous barista, café, or hospitality experience preferred, especially with espresso and milk steaming.
- Solid understanding of espresso extraction basics (grind, dose, time) and willingness to follow house recipes and standards.
- Strong milk steaming skills: can create proper microfoam and differentiate textures for lattes vs. cappuccinos, or is eager to learn quickly.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; professional, friendly presence with all guests and clients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds (espresso machines, milk crates, supplies).
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and occasional early mornings or holidays based on event schedules.
