Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospice Office Manager to oversee the administrative and operational functions of our hospice care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical office management, healthcare administration, and supervisory roles within clinical environments. This position offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitate seamless office operations that support high-quality patient care. The Hospice Office Manager will play a vital role in managing personnel files, on-boarding new employees, staff supervision, and maintaining efficient workflows within our hospice setting.
Duties
- Oversee daily administrative operations, including scheduling, patient records management, and office workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise administrative staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical office functions including medical terminology application and documentation standards.
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations such as CMS and CHAP standards and utilization management protocols.
- Facilitate human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and staff development within the office setting.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms to streamline documentation processes and improve patient care coordination.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience managing a medical or healthcare office environment within hospice or similar clinical settings.
- Proven supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in healthcare facilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical office management practices including billing, coding, and financial management.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Kantime Hospice is advantageous.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, CMS and CHAP standards, and managed care protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and clinic operations.
- Experience with budgeting, posting payroll, and human resources functions within a healthcare setting.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of high school education; preferably with administrative assistance and/or computer background

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
