Role Description
The Civil Engineer I (PE) is an early-level licensed professional who performs independent engineering design, analysis, and project coordination under general supervision. This role involves leading smaller-to-moderate projects or key components of larger ones, signing/sealing deliverables, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements in areas like site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and paving design. The role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Worth, TX. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaboration with team members in preparing engineering calculations, layouts, and design plans; assisting with construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates; and coordinating with survey teams to integrate field data into designs. The role involves consistent use of CAD and design software, adherence to applicable codes and standards, and clear communication with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain via reciprocity/comity).
- 4–8 years of progressive civil engineering experience post-graduation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater/hydraulic modeling software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of civil design standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, Texas and local codes, TDLR/ADA), permitting processes, and construction practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
Pay: $94,858.04 - $135,237.64 per year
