Job Summary

Duties
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure security protocols are followed
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security breaches or hazards
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying identification and issuing passes in accordance with company policies
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents by following established emergency response procedures; coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activity for record-keeping and future reference
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the security screening process when required
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action within legal guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling techniques
- Certifications in first aid (CPR/AED), conflict de-escalation, fire safety, and emergency response procedures are highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical security tasks including heavy lifting and patrolling for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing, conflict management, and customer service interactions
- Familiarity with security regulations, compliance standards, and loss prevention strategies
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining professionalism at all times
