Overview
Medart is a Sales and Service Distribution arm for Rehlko Engines – Formerly Kohler Engines, a leading manufacturer of air-cooled gasoline engines, diesel engines, and parts for outdoor power equipment. Rehlko engines are incorporated into products for both the consumer market and industrial/commercial applications. Medart Inc. also distributes Oregon Equipment Parts, Oregon Forestry Products, SBD – Formerly MTD and several other allied parts lines.
Medart Inc. is seeking a motivated, self-directed Outside Sales and Service Territory Manager for Iowa. The successful candidate will have a history of achievement closing leads, supporting partners and selling outdoor power equipment and/or parts. A previous proven sales history in mechanical or technically oriented products will also be considered. The ideal candidate has a strong will to compete and win with confidence and ambition. This person must be able to manage all stages of the sales cycle, working closely with prospects and the inside customer service and technical teams. The Outside Sales and Service Territory Manager is a key player and important contributor to the overall success of the Medart Engine team.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a full understanding and knowledge of the products offered by Medart Engine and can offer application options to customers.
- Emphasizes the features of products to highlight how they can solve the needs of the customer.
- Provides field reconnaissance to sales management and customer service teams.
- Maintains contact lists and follow up with customers to continue to grow relationships.
- Makes professional sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis.
- Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.
- Stays current on existing and emerging products and technologies.
- Makes decisions on engine warranty issues.
- Takes and transfers clear digital photos.
- Introduces and demonstrates new product offerings.
- Maintains ability to travel up to 75% of time, from day trips to multi overnight trips.

Required Skills
- Proven sales and appointment setting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome objections.
- Computer literate using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and listening.
- Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with existing customer base and prospective partners.
- Work experience should include a minimum of two years inside/outside sales or technical support experience with a strong preference to OEM sales.
- Basic 4 cycle knowledge/theory of gasoline and diesel engines.
- Ability to pass a Rehlko engine certification test.

- Minimum of 2 years of sales or technical service experience in a customer facing environment.

- Must possess excellent communication skills, computer knowledge and telephone demeanor.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all internal and field associates.
- Ability to be self-motivated, multi task, & work within deadlines.
- Reliable vehicle with ability to carry products and literature to share with customers. (Ability to carry 999cc engine.)
