Automotive Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000+ per year based on experience
A growing automotive group is seeking an experienced Automotive Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager to join our leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dealership accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career with a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have automotive accounting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial statement preparation
- Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules and general ledger accounts
- Review and process dealership transactions for accuracy
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting
- Assist with payroll and commission processing
- Reconcile floorplan and vehicle inventory accounts
- Maintain manufacturer receivables and warranty schedules
- Support internal controls and accounting process improvements
- Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements
- Work closely with dealership leadership on financial analysis and operational reporting
Qualifications:
- Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Dealertrack, CDK, or similar dealership management systems strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting and financial statements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
