Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and alignments to ensure optimal vehicle safety features.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to execute precise repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining work performed clearly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems, including powertrains, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and reading schematics.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; diesel engine repair experience is highly valued.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
