We are on a mission to fill our Licensed Rehabilitation Certified Occupational Therapy (OTR) position at McCoy Memorial nursing facility. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional rehabilitative care to geriatrics population, and individuals recovering from surgery or injury. Your expertise will help improve mobility, communication, and overall quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities
- Provide personalized therapy services such as trigger point therapy, physiotherapy, and specialized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physiology, anatomy, and medical history to inform effective treatment strategies.
- Implement therapeutic interventions across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, and outpatient clinic settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify discharge plans ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home or other care environments.
- Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records of treatments administered and outcomes achieved.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and health management strategies to promote independence.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates in orthopedics, geriatrics and acute care practices.
Requirements
- National Board-Certified Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health environments preferred.
- Clean background check
- Demonstrated ability to perform trigger point therapy and other specialized modalities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and educate patients effectively.
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
