Performs technical field work in the inspection and coordination of landscape installation/maintenance projects for the Palm Beach County Engineering & Public Works Department. Inspects County contractual and developer projects (landscape installation and maintenance) for adherence to contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with County and state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of five (5) years of project supervision experience in skilled landscaping installation and maintenance, or building construction.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate for this position MUST obtain the following within six (6) months of hire:
- Florida Aquatic Pesticide License
- Florida Ornamental and Turf Pesticide License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Construction and project management and landscape design experience,
- Supervisory experience in all phases of road construction,
- Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification, and
- Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
