A day in your life as an Accountant ll:
· Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily operating accounting activities
· Record operating expenses, prepare recurring journal entries, and assist with month-end close
· Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations while researching and resolving discrepancies
· Reconcile direct bill commission deposits to Applied Epic and investigate commission variances with carriers
· Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and GAAP
· Assist with financial reporting, audits, and documentation
· Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and maintain strong internal controls
· Utilize accounting systems, including Applied Epic, to ensure accurate financial reporting
What do you need to be successful?
· 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
· Strong experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
· Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
· Insurance agency accounting experience and Applied Epic experience are a plus
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage recurring monthly deadlines independently
