Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Gas Plumber to join our dynamic construction and healthcare installation team. Duties
- Install, test, and commission medical gas piping systems according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Read and interpret detailed construction blueprints and mechanical schematics related to medical gas layouts
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding gear, and other construction tools to assemble and secure piping systems
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on existing medical gas infrastructure to ensure continuous operation
- Collaborate with project managers, HVAC specialists, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on construction sites
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Document work progress through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and compliance purposes
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing, including construction plumbing projects and remodeling work
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, schematics, HVAC components, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding techniques, assembly, carpentry skills, and the use of various hand tools and power tools
- Construction site experience with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures and proper use of lifting equipment or techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for site travel or material transport duties
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a handyman approach to troubleshooting issues as they arise during installation or maintenance tasks
