Experienced Residential Service Electrician

Halco's Electrical division is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced, residential electrician who can hit the ground running. This isn't an entry-level position — we need someone who's comfortable diagnosing issues independently, managing a service call from start to finish, and representing Halco as a trusted expert in customers' homes. You'll handle installs, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on electrical systems, wiring, panels, fixtures, and outlets, often with minimal oversight.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of residential electrical experience (journeyman-level or equivalent field experience preferred)
- Strong independent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills — able to assess and resolve issues on-site without step-by-step guidance
- Own hand and cordless tools
- Valid NY State driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. consistently
- Sharp customer service instincts — comfortable explaining technical issues to homeowners in plain language and building trust quickly
- Strong math skills for load calculations, circuit sizing, and measurements
- Leadership qualities — able to mentor junior techs or apprentices when paired on jobs
- Organized, efficient, and punctual, with strong follow-through on paperwork and scheduling
- Professional appearance and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
