Are you a passionate sports card collector with proven leadership experience? Dallas Wax is seeking a results-driven, hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations at our sports card and collectibles retail locations in the San Antonio area.In this role, you will be the face of the shop for the local hobbyist community. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead a dedicated team, manage high-value inventory, and navigate the exciting world of buying, selling, and trading sports cards. If you stay up-to-date on player trends and live for the thrill of the hobby, we want you to grow with us.
Duties
- Drive Sales & Experience: Deliver 5-star service to casual shoppers and veteran hobbyists alike by staying sharp on player trends, wax products, and market values.
- Manage Card Buying & Trading: Evaluate, authenticate, and negotiate trades or purchases of sports cards using standard tools like eBay and 130Point.
- Lead Operations & Teams: Hire, train, and delegate tasks to store associates while managing daily register reconciliation, inventory levels, and merchandising.
- Grow the Community: Host in-store hobby events like Trade Nights, RIP Nights, and watch parties while driving local brand awareness through active social media marketing.
- Support Expansion: Lead and execute pre-opening setup, staffing readiness, and launch activities for new store locations in the region
- What We Are Looking For
- Hobby Expertise: Strong required knowledge of sports card products, players, sets, parallels, grading, and pricing tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 35 lbs.
- Basic math proficiency and multi-step cognitive processing for pricing workflows.
- Leadership Experience: Prior retail management experience, ideally in a specialty hobby or collectibles retail environment.
- Business Builders: Proven track record of building local clientele, establishing community relationships, or supporting new store openings.
- Digital Savvy: Comfortable creating engaging updates and regular promotional posts on social media.
- Flexibility: Availability to work dynamic shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
