Assistant General Manager
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead the daily operations of our Go Play facility. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment while delivering exceptional customer experiences for every guest who visits.
The AGM works closely with the General Manager to oversee facility operations, team development, safety, guest satisfaction, staffing, events, and financial performance. This position is ideal for a strong leader who can motivate a team, solve problems effectively, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and consistently.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching conversations, and team meetings.
- Maintain and enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Oversee facility cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards throughout the facility.
- Support birthday parties, special events, school groups, and community programs.
- Coordinate with maintenance and cleaning teams to ensure repairs and facility needs are addressed promptly.
- Manage inventory, ordering, cash handling procedures, deposits, and operational reporting.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including admissions, party sales, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Assist with budgeting, expense control, and achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to drive operational success and continuous improvement.
- Participate in local outreach efforts and promotional events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in hospitality, family entertainment, recreation, customer service, or a similar industry.
- Proven experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in children's recreation, family entertainment centers, hospitality, or event-focused businesses.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred. Training will be provided if needed.
- Experience managing budgets, inventory, and operational performance metrics.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
