Coffee Republic, the trendiest coffee shop in Franklin Square, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to join our growing team!

Position Summary
The Café Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café while ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. This role leads by example, develops team members, drives sales, maintains operational excellence, and creates an inviting atmosphere that reflects the Coffee Republic brand.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of baristas to provide outstanding customer service.
- Welcome guests and provide personalized beverage and food recommendations.
- Prepare and serve handcrafted coffee and tea beverages according to company recipes and standards.
- Train, mentor, and develop new and existing team members.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
- Create and maintain weekly staff schedules while managing labor effectively.
- Monitor café performance and identify opportunities to increase sales and improve profitability.
- Maintain inventory levels by ordering and stocking coffee, food, and café supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe environment that exceeds health department standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve café operations, efficiency, and guest experience.
- Build relationships with regular guests and foster community engagement.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information, policies, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all Coffee Republic standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years of management experience in coffee, food service, hospitality, or retail.
- Specialty coffee experience (preferred).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- 30–38 hours per week
Compensation & Benefits
- Up to $22.00 per hour based on experience
- Cash and pooled tips averaging an additional $5–$7 per hour
