Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Scheduling Coordinator Lead to join our dental team! Duties
- Lead and supervise the dental scheduling team, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to optimize workflow
- Faciliate daily team huddles as needed to support efficient operations,communications and operations with the clinical team
- Collaborate with team members to develop topics and agendas for monthly breakout meetings and staff discussions
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper scheduling of procedures, treatments, and follow-up appointments while minimizing wait times
- Maintain meticulous records of patient appointments, cancellations, reschedules, and no-shows using multi-line phone systems and office management software
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings to review daily operations, collaborate with clinical leadership, identify operational challenges, and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.
- Represent and promote the Core Values of Essex Family Dental through leadership, communication, and team engagement.
- Communicate leadership updates, organizational initiatives, and operational changes to the Front Desk team in a clear and timely manner.
- Complete assigned weekly action items in coordination with the leadership team.
- Prepare and organize agendas for all office-wide staff meetings.
- Address and respond professionally to patient concerns or complaints involving front desk team members, escalating issues appropriately when necessary.
Skills
- Extensive experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix;
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and familiarity with health information systems like Athenahealth or Meditech
- Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, dental terminology, and documentation review processes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, record keeping, and office management tasks
- Ability to manage front desk operations including appointment scheduling, intake procedures, insurance processing, and medical records management
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
