Ashley Health and Rehabilitation in Rogers, Arkansas is seeking a Business Office Manager (BOM) with Skilled Nursing experience. A minimum of two (2) years Business Office Management experience in a skilled nursing environment is REQUIRED. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package based on experience.
Job Summary:
The purpose of the Business Office Manager position is to assure financial records of the facility are accurate and timely, assure compliance with documented financial system policies, procedures, and practices, and provide overall financial support to the facility’s business operation.
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain resident financial files
- Maintain and reconcile resident trust fund accounts
- Participate actively in assuring all new admission meet appropriate financial criteria
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Make sure all accounts are properly maintained accordingly to policies and procedures
- Maintain current and accurate census data daily
- Perform all aspects of private pay collections including, but not limited to, sending collection letters, making phone calls, review of unpaid accounts, and appropriate follow-up with all questions related to private pay billing
- Reconcile all accounts using the appropriate worksheets and accounting software and assure that all accounts are kept current
- Maintains records required by licensing agencies
- Ensure accurate completion of admission forms, contracts, etc.
- Facilitate and coordinate with the Administrator the tracking of Medicaid applications and annual renewals
- Verification of Medicare and insurance benefits
- Assist with Medicaid applications including renewals
- Responsible for all deposits, Trust Fund, LTC policies, census, petty cash, office supplies & correspondence
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly aging review with the Administrator and Financial Consultant
Qualifications:
- We are seeking a positive, talented, and experienced candidate for this position.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in healthcare billing in long term care/skilled nursing environment is required.
- A high school diploma is required; a college degree or equivalent advanced courses are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and standard software applications
- Ability to meet critical deadlines, prioritize, and complete work timely
- Knowledge of resident trust, collections, cash receipt posting, triple check process, Matrix (preferred), and the Medicaid application process
- Highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
