For: Entry Level Machine Operator
Plasma Table / RoboRail Operator – Entry Level
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour
Job Type: Full‑time
Location: Columbia, MO
Snyder Engineering, Inc., is a multifaceted Steel Fabrication Company involved in the fabrication of structural steel components and specializing in miscellaneous steel structures of stairs and handrails.
We are currently seeking an Entry Level Plasma Table / RoboRail Operator for our fabrication shop. Welding or fabrication experience is helpful but not required. No experience required; we will train to do the job.
Qualified Candidates for this position will be able to perform the following duties:
- Strong attention to detail; able to follow instructions
- Work well in a team envrionment and independently
- Mechanical aptitude; comfortable working with hands
- Physically able to lift 25–50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Able to stand, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
- Follow all safety rules and use required PPE
- Other duties as may be required.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC plasma cutting table
- Operate RoboRail robotic plasma cutting system (cutting, coping, notching, hole‑making, layout marking)
- Load material, label parts, and organize cut pieces
- Follow instructions and production methods to ensure quality
- Monitor machines and make basic operator adjustments
- Clean parts and equipment as needed
- Use handheld grinder to remove burrs
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with general shop and fabrication tasks as needed
