The Position: Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting the accounting department by accurately and efficiently managing the accounts payable process. Key duties include processing vendor invoices in a timely manner, matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation, and ensuring all transactions are coded and recorded correctly. The Accounts Payable Specialist reconciles corporate credit card statements and receipts, researches and resolves invoice discrepancies, and maintains organized and up-to-date accounts payable records. This role also serves as a point of contact for vendors, responding to invoice and payment inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Additionally, the position assists with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and helps ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications:
· Previous accounts payable or bookkeeping experience required.
· Experience reconciling corporate credit card statements.
· Jonas Construction Software experience is a plus, but not required.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
