Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients by slicing, dicing, and assembling according to established recipes and standards
- Craft a variety of gourmet sandwiches with precision, ensuring consistent presentation and taste
- Follow food safety protocols and safety standards during all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new sandwich ideas and seasonal offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Ensure all food products meet quality control standards before serving
- Support food service operations by efficiently managing multiple orders during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on sandwiches or deli items
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for meats, cheeses, and vegetables
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Experience in menu planning and meal preparation within the food industry or culinary setting
- Ability to handle food safely while maintaining high hygiene standards
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary arts and presentation
- Familiarity with catering, serving, and large-scale food service operations is a plus
