American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, Epic proficiency, and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Labor & Delivery unit within an inpatient hospital setting
-
Inpatient obstetric patient population, including labor, vaginal delivery, and surgical delivery
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
-
Weekend shifts are required
-
No holiday shifts required
-
No on-call requirements

No floating requirements
-
Epic EMR experience is required
-
Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (all through American Heart Association)

Minimum of 3 years of relevant RN experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Epic EMR experience required

ASN required; BSN preferred

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Provides intrapartum care to obstetric patients and newborns through labor, delivery, and surgical delivery

Monitors fetal well-being and administers medications specific to the obstetric patient population
-
Conducts patient and family education specific to the obstetric population
-
Completes admission assessments and develops, implements, and modifies individualized plans of care
-
Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the care team

Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the health system

RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
