Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix doughs for baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other confections, following precise recipes and standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Measure ingredients accurately using basic math skills to ensure recipe consistency and quality control.
- Assist with cake decorating and pastry preparation as needed to support the bakery team’s production goals.
- Package finished baked goods securely for storage or delivery while maintaining product integrity.
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and freshness of all products produced.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation within a high-volume bakery or food industry setting.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during peak production times.
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and workspace maintenance.
- Customer service mindset to support team collaboration and product presentation.
- Previous catering or culinary experience is a plus; familiarity with cake decorating is advantageous.
