Patient Collections Specialist
We are a rapidly growing medical billing company seeking a dedicated and professional Patient Collections Specialist to join our team. This role offers a supportive environment and flexible work schedule, with opportunities to grow alongside our company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing patient account follow-up and payment collections
- Communicating balances, insurance coverage, and financial responsibility clearly and professionally to patients
- Processing and posting payments, setting up payment arrangements, and resolving billing inquiries
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all collection activities
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and applicable laws
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in patient collections or medical billing/AR follow-up
- Strong knowledge of insurance coverage, patient responsibility, and payment processes
- Familiarity with healthcare applications and basic medical billing terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with an empathetic approach
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in computers and general office software
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
