Civil Litigation Paralegal
Position Overview
The Civil Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing civil litigation cases by performing essential tasks such as legal research, document preparation, and trial preparation. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of litigation are handled efficiently and in compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing case files and documents

Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests

Manage case calendars to ensure that all deadlines are met

Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases

Assist in the discovery process, including document review and production

Prepare and file legal documents electronically in compliance with court rules
Qualifications
-
Paralegal certificate required, or must be able to obtain within 60-90 days of employment

A minimum of roughly 2 years of experience in civil litigation

Proficient in drafting legal documents and understanding legal terminology

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with calendaring and managing multiple cases

Familiarity with e-filing procedures and software
