Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Traffic Office Coordinator for the seasonal 2nd shift to support our transportation operations. In this role, you will manage dispatching activities, coordinate freight movements, push upcoming orders to other departments, and communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams. Your organizational skills and transportation knowledge will ensure smooth road transportation operations, compliance with DOT regulations, and efficient logistics workflows.

Sunday-Thursday 4:00pm-12:30am
Duties
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in strict accordance with applicable company policies, local, state, and federal rules and regulations governing transportation and logistics.
- Develop and maintain an efficient scheduling process that optimally assigns resources to monitor and communicate deliverables and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze data related to transportation and inventory to anticipate future needs and optimize resource allocation.
- Work closely with distribution center employees and leadership staff to ensure business targets are met and operational objectives are achieved.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area, promoting a culture of safety and compliance with warehouse procedures.
- Monitor and act upon product notices to ensure appropriate handling, warehousing, storage, documentation, and destruction of materials.
- Assist in verifying physical inventory through cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Communicate with LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and ensure delivery on time.
- Process shipments using the Transportation Management System, ensuring accurate and efficient logistics coordination.
- Prepare bill of ladings for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with shipping requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Experience
- Previous experience in transportation planning, logistics, or supply chain coordination preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for data entry and analysis
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to freight transport and driver compliance requirements
- Experience working within 3PL (third-party logistics) environments or in freight forwarding is a plus
