Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dance lesson plans for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines to students
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their dance skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Manage student behavior and maintain discipline during dance classes
- Collaborate with other dance instructors and staff to coordinate performances and events
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance education
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting
- Knowledge of theater arts or experience in theatrical productions is a plus
