Attention DSPs!
We are looking for a caring, responsible, empathetic and conscientious House Manager to work with a yound woman with autism in her home in Medina. The young lady goes to a day program Monday through Friday and has staff in her home 24/7 when she is not attending.
We have multiple openings for DSPs in Medina County as well, including in Medina, Wadsworth, and Lodi.
This is a hands-on role where a manager is a DSP AND manages a team of DSPs. House managers are crucial to the smooth operation of each home. While each home and each individual we serve is different, House Managers are typically responsible for ensuring completion of medical appointments and that physician orders are followed, all documentation is completed and maintained, supplies are obtained, and other duties specific to each home. The house manager is a LEADER, anticipates needs, plans ahead, and takes pride in creating a safe and nurturing environment. House Manager is responsible for reconciliation of all purchases, as well as scheduling, training, and supervising each staff.
Candidate MUST have previous experience as a manager in a residential home setting and display professionalism at all times when in the home.
House manager is on-call when they are not working, has a rotating on-call schedule. On-call duties include answering the phone to employees about medications, coordinating call offs, and ensuring safe staffing patterns in accordance with the individuals' ISPs.
There is an emphasis on outings in many of our sites, so having a valid drivers license with less than four points and access to an insured vehicle while at work are imperative. We offer paid training, but expect all of our employees to work closely with each other and with behavior specialists (when indicated) for the best outcomes for the individuals in our care.
MINIMUM qualifications:
At least 18 years of age
Clean background
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver license with less than four points
Access to reliable transportation while on shift
Medication Certification 1
CPR/First Aid Certified
1+ year Management Experience
Experience with challenging behaviors.
Preferred:
CPI or NCPS Training
Pay is up to $20.00 with experience.
