Excellent opportunity for a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist to work with a global life sciences and healthcare company!
Shift- 7am-7pm Monday- Friday plus Sat rotation (hours may vary, 8 hours a day)
Floating position- Visalia, Porterville, Tulare, Hanford area.
Must have 2+ years of phlebotomy experience drawing on pediatrics and geriatrics
Position Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomist technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
- Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of pediatrics, geriatrics, and hard sticks
- Order entry, specimen processing and shipping
- Preferred- Bilingual in Spanish
- Floating position- must have a reliable vehicle, a good driving history and a valid drivers license.
- Must have a valid Phlebotomy Certification (National/State Certification)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a color vision test
