We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Assistant Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum goals.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum or requiring additional behavioral management strategies.
- Help prepare educational materials and classroom resources to facilitate engaging learning experiences.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
Skills
- Experience working with young children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including Montessori or other specialized educational approaches like toddler care or preschool teaching.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to assist with behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy, math, and overall early childhood education.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments alongside teachers and educational support staff.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and positively.
- Technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom technology is a plus.
- Prior experience supporting children with disabilities or special needs enhances your candidacy.
- Demonstrated understanding of childhood behavior management strategies and classroom safety protocols.
