Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Drain Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations related to drainage systems, plumbing, and related construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, plumbing, and mechanical systems, with the ability to work safely and efficiently on various job sites. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair clogged or damaged drains, sewer lines, and plumbing systems using appropriate tools and techniques
- Install new drainage systems, pipes, and fixtures in residential or commercial settings
- Operate power tools, hand tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repair work
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for job completion
- Conduct remodeling or renovation tasks as needed on plumbing or drainage systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with piping, schematics, or other mechanical components
Skills
- Construction site experience with a focus on plumbing or drainage systems
- Proficiency in construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, HVAC systems, and general construction
- Experience with remodeling, carpentry, assembly, or maintenance person work is a plus
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in various environments
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and plumbing operations
This position is integral to maintaining functional drainage systems across multiple settings. Candidates should be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety. Prior experience in construction or related fields will be highly valued.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
