This is a fully on-site position based in Hingham, Massachusetts. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our office each day. Remote, hybrid, relocation assistance, and employment visa sponsorship are not available for this position.
South Shore Orthopedics is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Billing Operations & Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional looking to launch a career in healthcare finance, operations, or business analytics.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and enjoys solving problems using data. In this role, you will support the accuracy and integrity of our billing and financial operations by reconciling payments, researching discrepancies, analyzing financial data, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. You'll work closely with our Billing Department while gaining valuable exposure to healthcare finance, revenue cycle operations, and business administration.

Reconcile insurance payments, deposits, and financial transactions across multiple systems.

Research, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, billing variances, and account issues.

Verify and match payments, reports, and financial records to ensure accuracy.

Analyze billing and financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.

Create, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets, reports, and financial tracking tools.

Assist with projects designed to improve billing processes and departmental efficiency.

Communicate with patients regarding account balances, payment options, and financial responsibilities.

Process patient payments and assist in resolving account-related inquiries.

Perform additional analytical and operational support duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
