About the Role:
Established law firm in East Dallas is seeking a licensed attorney with a background in civil litigation. The firm has a varied litigation practice that includes construction, business, fiduciary, and real estate litigation. The ideal candidate is comfortable drafting complex petitions, discovery, motions for summary judgment, pre-trial motions, and proposed jury charges.
Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Manage client files and stay current on all active cases
- Communicate with clients via email, phone calls, and in person
- Maintain client files and prepare case briefs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients while working on their cases
- Prepare clients for court hearings
- Collaborate with other attorneys to ensure each case is handled appropriately
- Work with and supervise paralegals
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of Texas
- First-chair trial experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
