Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Flex Manager to support daily restaurant operations by leading shifts while also serving guests during high-volume or staffing-need periods. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is comfortable balancing floor management responsibilities with direct guest service.
The Flex Manager will oversee shift execution, team accountability, guest satisfaction, and operational standards while stepping into a server role when needed to support service flow and labor efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Shift Manager Duties
- Lead and oversee daily FOH operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure smooth service flow and maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH
- Manage floor coverage, table rotations, and staffing adjustments during service
- Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally
- Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and shift reports
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with restaurant standards
- Coach and support team members to maintain strong hospitality and performance
- Monitor labor efficiency and assist management with operational goals
- Conduct pre-shift checklists, side work completion, and team readiness
Server Duties
- Provide exceptional guest service and maintain strong menu knowledge
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Upsell food, beverages, cocktails, and promotions when appropriate
- Maintain section cleanliness and service standards
- Assist teammates during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
- Deliver an elevated hospitality experience while maintaining speed and accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management or shift lead experience preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lead by example and work both independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
