This position will work closely with a growing senior living community in Pinehurst, Texas. This is a brand new community in the area. Summary: The Executive Director serves as the leader of the community and leadership to fulfill the operational goals and objectives of the community and lead the team in a manner consistent with the company culture and values to ensure the community is performing at its highest level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Financial management of the community, while working to meet budgetary goals. Must be able to interpret, comment and engage in the following:
a. Income / Expense management
b. Ability to read and understand property level financial statements:
i. Income Statements
ii. Balance Sheets
iii. Accounts Payable transactions
iv. Accounts Receivable transactions
v. General Ledger Accounting Statements
2. Ability to lead the overall leasing process and resident experience. Ability to lead the marketing programs and advertising strategies.
3. Must be able to articulate results and effectively communicate adaptations to leasing and marketing initiatives in order to maximize tours, deposits and move-ins.
4. Develop the pre-opening and initial post-opening activity programming with unique and thoughtful events.
5. Identifies operational issues, recommends solutions to leadership, and implements solutions.
6. Ability to develop management programs and implement changes efficiently and effectively.
7. Implements corrective action when needed to ensure a healthy work environment for all staff.
8. Ensures the facility adheres to all federal, state and local laws and health regulations.
9. Dedicated to meeting company standards and goals and is open to feedback and review.
10. An exceptional ability to form relationships with residents and their families to ensure residents have an exemplary living experience and quality of life.
11. Effectively communicates and builds a relationship with staff. Provides leadership to all departments and acts as the point person for leadership to communicate with. Possesses an inherent desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of the people they encounter every day.
12. Ensures all administrative files are well-maintained, current and in compliance with internal policies.
13. Builds relationships within the local community and develops opportunities for partnerships with local vendors and businesses that will benefit the community.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
10 years’ experience in a director or management level role in Senior Living Communities. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business is preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial statements, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, revenues, profits and losses, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Basic Math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, Email. RESMAN, YARDI, ONSITE experience strongly preferred. Must be able to quickly adapt to new online, web-based programs used in the day-to-day management.
Certificates and Licenses:
Texas Real Estate License, preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 5 or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending new hires, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment:
The individual in this role will work in an office environment most of the time and regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this role. The individual will also frequently be required to stand and walk throughout the residential community, greeting and speaking with residents, prospects, employees, and vendors on a daily basis. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Compensation:
Salary range $70,000 to $90,000, depending upon experience
Bonus opportunity will be competitive and commensurate with performance
