We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector. You will conduct tests to determine the quality of manufactured railcars, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough examinations
- Read, write, and speak English, and know how to read engineering drawings (blueprints).
- Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
- Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects
- Participate in routine visual inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
- Must be capable of using measuring instruments, including, but not limited to, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Must be proficient in the English measurement system and be able to learn the metric system
- Must be capable of working in an active manufacturing environment, be able to climb stairs and ladders, and be able to lift, push, or pull at a maximum of 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
