Operations Manager – Austin, TX
Hubbard’s Express Air Freight is looking for an Operations Manager to help oversee drivers, dispatch, warehouse, customer service, and all operations in Austin.
This position requires someone who can manage a fast paced operation, solve problems quickly, hold employees accountable, and help maintain strong service levels for customers and airline freight operations.
Responsibilities
Manage daily dispatch and operational workflow
Oversee drivers, dispatch, warehouse, and customer service staff
Handle service issues and customer escalations
Monitor service levels, urgency, and operational performance
Help manage staffing, scheduling, and employee accountability
Work closely with customers, airlines, and vendors
Assist with after-hours and operational emergencies when needed
Ensure employees follow company procedures and expectations
Monitor communication between dispatch, warehouse, and drivers
Help improve operational efficiency and customer service
Requirements
Logistics, trucking, cartage, courier, or warehouse management experience preferred
Experience managing employees in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask and make decisions quickly
Reliable and dependable attendance
Experience with dispatching, trucking operations, or warehouse operations preferred
Must be comfortable holding employees accountable and addressing operational issues
Must be willing to occasionally assist outside normal business hours when operational issues arise
Preferred Experience
Air freight or airport cargo experience
Dispatch management experience
Experience with TMS systems, Samsara, or transportation software
Customer service and operations leadership experience
