Role: Our patient transport professionals are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible individuals who reside in the communities of Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria, and Galveston Counties. Patient Transport professionals are charged with getting clients with clinical and mobility challenges to their appointments safely and on time.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle to ensure reliable, clean and efficient environment for transport
- Respond timely to supervisor and client inquiries and request for trips
- Drive clients to their destinations on time and safely
- Store and retrieve wheelchairs for clients (no lifting)
- Maintain communication with clients, supervisor, and dispatcher as needed
- Report traffic delays to supervisor
- Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor
- Adhere to company policies and protocol
- Provide customer service to clients and their families at all times
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record with no points
- Must have a great work history with a track record of being a reliable responsible individual (must provide references from previous employer (s))
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or at least 10 years of customer service and driving history
- Must be able to Read and Write in English
Preferred Skills
- Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment
- Possess patience for the elderly and disabled population
- Must be passionate about helping people
- Great communication skills
- A good working knowledge of the service area is a plus
- First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required (we will train and certify you if needed)
Additional Notes
The candidate for this position will be a great communicator, enthusiastic about the opportunity and have experience in customer service. Training will be provided.
