Job Opening: Water Mitigation Operations Manager
Location: Sparks, NV
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $85,000/year
Nevada Water & Fire Restoration is a fast-growing, locally-owned company serving the greater Reno area—and we're looking for a proven leader to take the reins of our entire Water Mitigation Department.
This isn't a crew-lead gig. You'll own the whole operation: the people, the budgets, the quality, and the results. Reporting directly to the owners, you'll be accountable for running a department that's profitable, efficient, and known for doing the job right. If you lead from the front, know how to read a P&L, and take pride in building a high-performing team—we want to meet you.
When disaster strikes, our customers are having one of the worst days of their lives. You'll make sure our team shows up fast, does it right, and treats every home like it matters—while keeping the department healthy and profitable.
What You'll Do:
- Run the whole Water Mitigation Department—techs, crew leads, scheduling, and dispatch
- Own the department budget and keep jobs running within target profit margins
- Build and track KPIs for the whole team, and report performance directly to ownership
- Check the quality of work in the field—make sure every job meets our standard before it's called done
- Lead regular safety meetings and keep the team trained, compliant, and accident-free
- Hire, train, and develop the team, and set the bar for accountability
- Manage the equipment fleet (dehus, air movers, air scrubbers)—inventory, deployment, and maintenance
- Keep every job to IICRC standards with clean, complete documentation
- Be the go-to on large-loss and escalated situations
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in water mitigation/restoration, including department or operations management
- A track record of leading and growing a profitable team
- Strong business sense—comfortable owning a budget, tracking margins, and driving the numbers
- Experience setting up and managing KPIs and team performance metrics
- A sharp eye for quality and the standards to back it up
- IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD/AMRT a big plus)
- Solid grasp of psychrometry and drying science
- Valid driver's license (company vehicles)
