We are looking for a seasoned professional with a substantive background in construction defect and insurance defense to serve as a vital component of our high-stakes litigation practice.

Responsibilities
Litigation Leadership & Strategic Execution
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support throughout all stages of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal.
- Conduct thorough factual and legal research, including the location and analysis of relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Draft and prepare sophisticated legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, subpoenas, and settlement agreements.
- Serve as a key contributor to trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
Case Management & Infrastructure Optimization
- Organize and maintain case files and evidence using both physical and electronic document management systems.
- Utilize Clio or similar legal practice management software for case management, timekeeping, and precise legal billing.
- Manage and track complex court schedules and deadlines with a focus on accountability and accuracy.
- Identify inefficiencies in the litigation process and implement corrective actions through SOP development.
Professional Communication & Client Relations
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Manage client intake processes and ensure all communications align with our commitment to transparency and results.
- Foster a culture of high performance and professionalism within the Tampa team.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of substantive paralegal experience, with a significant focus on construction defect, insurance defense, and appellate matters.
- Legal Acumen: Strong understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and appellate procedure.
- Technical Proficiency: High-level command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal databases such as LexisNexis.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple deadlines.
- Software: Experience with legal billing software is required; proficiency in Clio is highly preferred.
- Language: Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is highly desirable.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
