Job Summary
TP Freight, a leader in logistics since 1922 is seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills, including experience with manual transmission and tractor-trailer units.
Duties
- Operate trucks to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or issues encountered during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery schedules and reduce delays.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating various terrains and weather conditions.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks is preferred.
- Knowledge of tanker operations is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in freight transportation or as a delivery driver is advantageous.
Required
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Valid Oregon CDL driver's license
- Able to lift 100Ib.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Preferred
Class A with Haz-Mat and doubles endorsement

- $4.88 paid into your retirement for every hour worked up to 2080 hours a year
