Are you ready to turn nightmares into reality? We are seeking high-energy, enthusiastic, and reliable Cast Members (Scare Actors) to join our haunt team for the upcoming haunt season. As a cast member, you will be the heart and soul of our attraction, transforming into terrifying characters to deliver unforgettable scares to our guests.
No professional acting experience is required—we look for passion, energy, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. We will provide all the necessary training, costuming, and makeup to help you bring your character to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Controlled Interaction: Execute interactive, "light-touch" scares in accordance with attraction rules and training. Deliver impactful moments while maintaining absolute physical control and professionalism.
Revised Qualifications
- Excellent spatial awareness, physical control, and reflexes.
- Strong emotional maturity and the ability to remain calm and professional if a guest reacts unpredictably.
- Must be comfortable with mutual, boundary-checked physical contact as part of a theatrical performance.
- Strict Boundary Management: Adhere strictly to the designated "light-touch" zones (e.g., shoulders, arms, or back) and never engage in aggressive, restrictive, or inappropriate physical contact.
- De-escalation & Awareness: Closely monitor guest reactions. If a guest becomes overly aggressive, or is wearing a non-contact experience lanyard, immediately pivot to a non-touch scare tactic and step back.
- Safety First: Report any instances of aggressive guest behavior, accidental hard contact, or safety hazards to monster moms and security immediately.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, crouch, crawl, or jump for extended periods (shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours).
- Environment: Ability to work in low-light, foggy (strobes and theatrical smoke), loud, and potentially tight spaces.
- Vocal Endurance: Ability to project your voice, growl, scream, or laugh repeatedly without straining your vocal cords (vocal safety training will be provided).
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old (candidates under 18 must be graduated high school)
- High energy, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback, and adapt to different scare tactics.
- Reliable transportation and strict adherence to attendance and punctuality.
- A background in theater, dance, improv, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
Perks & Benefits
- Comprehensive training in scare tactics, character development, and vocal safety.
- Professional makeup and high-quality costuming provided.
- Exclusive staff preview nights and team social events.
- Competitive hourly pay with opportunities for performance-based rewards.
