PEL with endorsement in School Social Work
Previous school experience preferred
Knowledge of community agencies and resources
Knowledge of PBIS and MTSS implementation

Performance Responsibilities:

Promote the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all students through proactive, prevention-focused supports.
Provide individual and small-group social work to address students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
Deliver classroom-based social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and proactively support the development of students' self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, and social awareness.
Partner with classroom teachers to embed social-emotional supports, restorative practices, and positive behavior strategies into daily instruction and classroom routines.
Collaborate with teachers to identify students in need of early intervention and develop proactive strategies to support student success before concerns escalate.
Consult and collaborate with administrators, teachers, specialists, and families to develop comprehensive plans that support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.
Implement effective behavior intervention strategies and provide crisis assessment, intervention, and follow-up when necessary.
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and collaborate in developing, implementing, and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as appropriate.
Serve as an active member of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Individual Problem-Solving Team, and related services collaboration team.
Collect, analyze, and use behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional data to identify trends, monitor interventions, and guide decision-making.
Conduct comprehensive social-developmental evaluations as part of initial evaluations and reevaluations, utilizing observations, interviews, standardized assessments, and other appropriate evaluation tools.
Develop and implement evidence-based interventions that promote student engagement, resilience, emotional regulation, and positive peer relationships.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, problem-solving meetings, and other collaborative planning processes.
Collaborate with community agencies and connect students and families with appropriate mental health, social service, and community resources.
Provide parent consultation, education, and coaching to strengthen family engagement and support student success at home and school.
Serve as a resource to staff by providing consultation, coaching, and professional learning related to social-emotional learning, student mental health, trauma-informed practices, and positive behavior supports.
Build strong collaborative relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners to foster a supportive and inclusive school culture.
Advocate for equitable access to services and support systemic practices that promote positive school climate, belonging, and student well-being.
Foster an inclusive environment that recognizes and values the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences of all students and families.
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with district policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards.
Conduct parent interviews and gather relevant developmental and social history information to support educational planning and comprehensive evaluations.
Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and professional practice.
