NRC-TASS is a post-acute residential brain injury rehabilitation facility in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. The program has a focus on community re-entry and long-term care.
Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing medical treatment to clients with acquired neurological injuries or impairments under the direction of an RN, following the established care plan to ensure client progress for effective outcomes.
· Provides client with basic care and medical treatment in accordance with the care plan and qualifications.
· Completes health exams and provides information to the RN and/or Medical Director as needed.
· Assists in development of care plan for clients.
· Follows all medication procedures and established in the care plan ensuring proper dispensing and dosage; Communicate with pharmacy staff as needed.
· Completes medical records, reporting and charting in a timely manner.
· Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team.
· Follows all HIPAA and client confidentiality requirements at all times.
· Participates in emergency and on-call work as scheduled.
· Provides training to clients related to medication, treatment and self-care.
· Completes other client care duties as assigned.
· Assist clients with all aspects of daily living in both residential and community settings.
· Assist, supervise and train clients with activities of daily living in a safe and beneficial manner, such as bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and dressing assistance.
· Transport and escort clients on community access trips including appointments, shopping trips, and other activities as needed.
· Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team.
Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
Experience: 1+ years of related experience. Experience with brain and spinal cord injuries preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Required:
· Current state LPN license in good standing
· CPR and First Aid
