American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Nurse Manager for an Operating Room position requiring prior management experience and Joint Commission accreditation experience.

Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting

Monday through Friday schedule, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
-
AM shift
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
No floating or weekend requirements
-
3-month assignment length

Active RN license (TX or Compact) required

Current BLS certification (AHA only)

Minimum 3 years of manager/director experience required

Previous OR management experience required

Joint Commission accreditation survey experience required

OR project manager experience required

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required

Two professional references required

Mandatory flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted

Responsible for overseeing nursing operations and staff within the OR department

Develops and implements departmental policies, procedures, budgets, and quality improvement initiatives

Facilitates professional development, mentoring, and competency standards for nursing staff

Champions service excellence and fosters a safe, collaborative work environment

Hospital will provide scrubs

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
