Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentist during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies.
- Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, ensuring all tools meet infection control standards for healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred ,training will be provided for the right candidate eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy enhances your ability to assist effectively across various specialties such as oral surgery or endodontics.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention is essential to ensure safe clinical environments.
- Experience with dental assisting certifications or coursework related to general dentistry or pediatric dentistry will be considered an asset.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
