Position Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has experience with pizza dough, hand-stretching, topping execution, and managing a high-heat oven with precision. This person thrives under pressure, values teamwork, and takes pride in putting out beautiful, consistent pizzas every time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, portion, and handle dough with accuracy and care
- Hand-stretch and top pizzas consistently to recipe and quality standards
- Operate and maintain a high-heat pizza oven (wood, gas, or deck) efficiently
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality during peak service
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Assist with prep work, station organization, and end-of-shift cleaning
- Uphold the standards of excellence and consistency that define our kitchen
Qualifications:
- Prior experience making pizza in a professional kitchen (sourdough or artisan preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dough fermentation, pizza oven mechanics, and topping balance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a positive attitude
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
