Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate an 18 wheeler . Your primary focus will be driving long distances and ensuring loafs are delivered on time , keep a record of paperwork while providing excellent customer service, adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine mechanical checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Communicate effectively with owners and contractors and dispatchers using clear English or communication skills.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or road hazards to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for transport.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and state/local driving regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and emergency stop procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as needed for vehicle maintenance .
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
