Job Title: Part-Time Catering Coordinator
Location: MRKT Cafe + Catering
Schedule: Monday -Thursday | 15-25 hours a week | No evenings or weekends

MRKT Cafe + Catering is a fast-paced, locally loved cafe and corporate catering company specializing in global cuisine, fresh ingredients, and professional service. MRKT is looking for a Catering coordinator to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating seamless catering experiences from kitchen to event. You’ll work closely with the Catering Manager to ensure that every order—whether a drop-off or full-service setup—is executed with precision, professionalism, and care.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination & Communication
- Check in with the Catering Manager daily to review menus, schedules, and any updates or special instructions.
- Confirm dietary requirements (GF, vegan, allergies, etc.) and ensure they are clearly labeled.
- Communicate efficiently with kitchen and catering staff to guarantee timely preparation and delivery.
Preparation & Organization
- Gather and label all items required for off-site catering events.
- Ensure menus, labels, and packaging are accurate and professional.
- Prepare all catering bags with necessary items, such as:
- Gloves, towels, daily menus
- Serving utensils, napkins
- Sauces and garnishes (as needed)
- Able lift 50 lbs continuously
Event Execution
- Organize and pack food in properly labeled hot boxes and carts.
- Ensure all containers are sealed, labeled, and dated if necessary.
- Follow the catering checklist and confirm details with the Catering Manager before departure.
- Double-check order accuracy, quantities, and setup requirements prior to loading the vehicle.
- Communicate immediately if running behind schedule to prevent any delays.
Post-Event & Feedback
- Provide daily feedback to the Catering Manager regarding service or drop-offs.
- Discuss any ideas or issues to improve workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

- Previous experience in catering or food service leadership.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Reliable and proactive under pressure.
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (required).
